Biography:
I killed Albus Dumbledore. That is what everybody in the wizardling world knows but only Albus knows why I did it. He asked me to. End of story.
After that fateful night I fled. With every body after my hide, from the Ministry to all of Albus's old friends, I had no safe haven. My main goal was to protect Draco. I promised his mother I would do this. So I did. Only when Draco finally crawled back home did I feel the Unbreakable Vow which I made with Narcissa, lift. Draco was safe and that burden was no longer my concern.
The Dark Lord fell and thus, my duty as spy for the Order of the Phoenix was finished. Some would have said I was finished when I apparently showed my true colors when I killed Dumbledore. My fellow Death Eaters all went into hiding, at least those who didn't die or were captured. I remain free but none of the Death Eaters could I call friends. At least none that I could be 100% sure of. With the Dark Lord finished, so too did his mark leave my left arm. No longer will I see that skull and serpent upon my forearm. It is a relief to know the Dark Lord is truly finished.
Over a year has passed since I played my part in Albus's death. Being a fugitive is rather trying and I want it to end. However I do not want to rot away in Azkaban. Better to be a fugitive than a prisoner.
In short, I need a job. I wonder if Horace still is teaching Potions or has my old professor returned to retirement? I must send an Owl to Minerva, find out if she knows the truth, or if I must explain it all to her.
